A 20-year-old in a Ford F-150 ran over a three-year-old relative in Modesto, California on Tuesday. The girl, who authorities say was the driver's sister-in-law, died later on at the hospital.

Six Bay Area people, including some students, were killed in a single vehicle accident yesterday afternoon. Authorities have said the driver lost control of her Toyota 4Runner and hit a tree on Highway 101 near Los Alamos, California. The SUV then burst into flames.

A witness to the accident said the SUV began to drift to the left, into a dirt divider, and then the driver overcorrected. One man was killed when the boat he lived on exploded at the Pittsburg, California arena early this morning. The explosion was so great that it consumed the boat and damaged several other boats nearby.

A school bus and minivan collided on Friday, February 6^th, in Springfield Township, Ohio. Thirteen people, including ten students, were taken to hospitals in the area. The school bus was taking the Toledo-area students to the school's aviation center where they were taking part in a program on aircraft mechanics at Toledo Express Airport.

According to police, the bus was traveling westbound on Airport Highway when the eastbound minivan crossed the center of the road and hit the school bus just after noon. The bus was knocked onto its side and sent down an embankment. It is not known why the minivan crossed the center of the road.

The students in the bus ranged in age between 16 and 18. Although none of them suffered life threatening injuries, all of them, as well as the bus driver, were transported to the hospital as a precaution. Both occupants of the minivan were trapped and needed to be extricated by rescuers. They were both airlifted to a hospital in Toledo. The driver has been listed in critical condition, and the passenger has been upgraded to fair condition.

A man was saved from a burning van in November only to be killed when the ambulance transferring him from the burn center to the hospital crashed in southern South Carolina yesterday.

In early November, the 51-year-old man swerved to avoid an animal in the road. He hit an embankment and the van burst into flames. Passersby pulled him from the van, which was engulfed in flames moments later. The crash victim suffered first-, second-, and third degree burns from his legs to his shoulders.

A bus carrying Chinese tourists crashed on a rural part of an Arizona highway near the Hoover Dam on Friday killing seven people and injuring ten more. Two people are still in critical condition.
